I placed this in my last post but intended it to be a separate post. Sorry about that. I have to say, John Hughey was so influential in my playing thru the years. I miss his sound. Animal Wayne Turner is playing bass and lead guitar on this. For you that don't know Wayne, he played lead and fronted for Hank, Jr. for many years. What a player and an honor to know him.

Thanks guys. Yes, he was certainly my favorite. I remember so well in '71 when I first heard him on Conway's songs. He is to Conway as Don Helms is to Hank. Then he did it again with Vince. His sound has a way of getting to your heart.

Thanks guys for listening. I play this instrumental around the southeast Texas area and the crowd loves it. I had no idea how many people, who don't play music at all, know about John Hughey. They love it, so I will keep playing it. Some don't know, but they say it moves their heart. I know that many people feel real country music is leaving us. But I have to believe that future generations appreciate the heart and soul of where country music was derived and that they will always keep it alive. Amen!

Dan: What a great job you did on "Look at us" I'm learning how to play it just by watching this over and over. I'll keep working on it till I'm satisfied. Thanks,Tommy.....

Great job!

I was listening to one of my John Hughey CD's last night. From a critical playing viewpoint, I am just in awe of his abilities. His tone and playing is so perfect.
