I just traded for this(TELE) guitar. It has a logo on it that says WELLER. I've heard of Weller guitars before but never seen one. I've also heard they are expensive and well made. Any one have any info please enlighten.

Thanks BD

You can Google Weller guitars and get a lot of information. That's the amazing thing about Google.

You can google and get a lot of information, but just like the library in the "olden days," you need to have some idea as to what you're looking for.

My point being that unless Chris knows otherwise, I'm guessing that the Weller Guitars site he linked and this Tele style guitar Bill got in a trade are not from the same builder.

I believe there is a fellow named Weller who works at the Fender Custom Shop in southern California. I wonder if this Tele of Bill's is a "side gig" for him?

There is a Weller builder I St Louis. I've been in contact with him. It's not his as he never built a Tele. He said this came from a builder in Germany. Mark the guy your thinking of at fender is Waller. He is a master builder at fender.

It seems to play and sound fine although I haven't had time to set it up yet.

You got me curious and I did some digging but could only come up with a few clues. There was a Armin Weller in East Germany that built guitars but from what I could find he only made acoustic guitars.
I also found talk in a forum about some Chinese guitars with a Weller logo?
I’m thinking you might have to disassemble that guitar and look for clues as to who built it. One thing for sure, it’s a rare piece.

From looking at the string trees used, and the truss rod route/headstock finish. I would bet a dollar, its a Chinese build.
