I lost my still guitar a few years back due to my employer shutting down and not having work.... Would love to have another one but can't get the money together to buy another one with a family of 8.... Does anyone have one they would like to donate.... It would be greatly appreciated or one that you would sell dirt cheap... I love the instrument and would love to get back into playing.... Any input will be appreciated...

Your best bet is to keep a close eye on Craigslist and Facebook market place. Be ready to move fast if one pops up.
A couple years ago I sold a home made steel for $50 just to get rid of it. Sometimes those deals do happen.

Do you play lap steel or pedal steel? There are some fairly reasonable lap steels out there now. Rogue makes a lap steel that new can be bought for usually 70-80 dollars (depending on where you buy it) and it comes with a set of legs and a bag. They obviously aren't the best thing available but they aren't terrible either.
Ill add a link for one on ebay (70 dollars)and it appears to be free shipping. There are actually multiple listings for this model on ebay though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rogue-RLS-1-Lap-Steel-Guitar-with-Stand-and-Gig-Bag-Metallic-Red/362508634543?epid=18024456996&hash=item546732c9af:g:niAAAOSw9PFb0oDu:rk:3:pf:0
