This Quote just came in from the famous Steel guitar Legend Lloyd Green.(http://www.lloydgreentribute.com/)
Quote:
"Hi there Ricky,
Just listened to the new Weldon Henson tune “Not The Kind To Hang Around” with you on steel.
Man that is so good; the singing, steel, track and mixing. Tell Henson his singing still moves me. Just the kind of music I used to couldn’t wait to sink my picks into in the studios!
I know you’re proud to be playing on this….I would too!
Cheers,
Lloyd Green"

Thank You so much Lloyd: as you know, we can't keep this real Country music alive without great support like you have given us.
Ricky Davis

Here is the new Weldon Henson Video featuring that Song "Not The Kind To Hang Around" off his new "Texas Made Honky Tonk" CD; Produced by Lloyd Maines.

Ricky, I sampled some Weldon Henson and am going to purchase a good amount. It's very refreshing.

I enjoy your playing as much as Lloyd's. That is saying a mouthful. Please do keep up the good work.

I purchased this album from iTunes and enjoy it very much. I'm a fan of Texas style country music. As a matter of fact I have a radio show called A Touch Of Texas. I downloaded this from iTunes hoping to feature it on my show but unfortunately the iTunes format won't allow me add it to my sessions in Adobe Audition which is how I record my shows.
Weldon still gets a feature but unfortunately not the new album. His older recordings are excellent as well so the listeners still get a treat. I love the arrangements and I am a fan of Ricky's playing. I'll never get there but I keep trying.

Gary it's a video displaying the meaning of the words/story to the song weldon wrote about part of his life.
Here's one he wrote off previous record that has some instrument shots as we are playing inside the house that the couple the song is written about relationship has turned to "Not a Home"
https://youtu.be/scaGSh9LxTA

And yes that is me on Steel and the producer of this album "Honky Tonk Frontier" this song is on.
