without knowing the actual dimensions or thread size it's hard to say, but it just looks like a standard plumbing part, a recessed threaded plug, perhaps 3/8" NPT, with the back drilled out for the shaft diameter? They more commonly have recessed hex (allen) heads instead of slots these days. Google it |

That's 3/8" NPT. If you search around for recessed threaded plugs you should find something that will work. Good luck! |

Sorry, but isn't npt tapered? Anyway, If I remember correctly, the thread is 5/8-11. Just take it to a hardware store to identify the thread. With that, you can have a machine shop make some for you if you can't get any........Pat |

I have found a replacement that's made of metal instead of plastic. It has a hex head shaped hole through the middle of the plug.
To use it, you must drill out the center with a 3/8" drill bit and cut a slot on the other end for the flat head screw driver.
I found these at ACE Hardware.
