Bobby was a great guitarist and played many styles. While in St Louis one year I purchased two of his thumb pickin' cds and just today revisited them and his playing was amazing.-Travis/Atkins style. When he took a solo break behind a steel guitarist, his solos were always exciting, single line, chord melody, whatever he chose to do. From jazz to country and probably everything in between, Bobby could do it all. I greatly miss him. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |

Bobby was my guitar hero in St. Louis and will always be my idea of how to play in a band. He was capable of any style and the most tasteful player I ever witnessed. I too greatly miss him. |

Loved his playing. He and Jimmy Capps were the best at supporting a steel guitar. I met him back in the old DJ convention days. Super nice guy, gone way too soon. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Harlow Dobro |

a brilliant player with a great ear for mimicking jazzy steel guitar licks. I'd love to get copies of his album(s) if anyone can help _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |
