Does anybody use Mission Engineering volume pedals with their steel guitars?

I have a passive Mission Volume pedal that I have been using at home and I quite like it. Today, I tried to take a look inside, and it appears as if there is no string on these.....rather there is a gear that turns the potentiometer inside.

Works pretty well,.,.

The old DeArmond pedals worked that way.

My Lehle 90 pedal works off a magnet and a sensor. No moving parts. Absolutely love it. You can see it at YouTube Lehle Volume Pedal 2018 NAMM show.

I used a Mission volume pedal for a while. They work great. No problems.
