Once again I have Trend Micro fighting with Malwarebytes.

It appears that TM "Maximum Security" is actually deactivated because it wants me to remove my paid Malwarebytes ("incompatible software") in order to install a TM update and I have declined to do so.

I have had both running successfully (as far as I know--both were performing scans and occasionally notifying of having blocked threats) for a couple of years. Maybe a month or so ago I got the message from TM and decided to just skip the update. Only today I noticed that TM wasn't active.

Is there a way around this? MBAM seems perennially well regarded as an additional layer of security alongside an Antivirus program.

When I encountered this conflict I let Trend Micro uninstall Malwarebytes. After updating TMIS and rebooting I reinstalled MBAM, which detected its registration and settings and functioned as usual.
