I'm a newbie builder, looking for just the right sound: bluesy, growley, ....
I was wondering what genres are most played here?
-Hawaiian
-Country
-Americana
-Blues
-Rock

John,
If you're looking for a particular sound for the guitars you're going to build, I would suggest looking at the types of guitars that your favorite players play, and seeing what they use. Please note that many players play with additional effect pedals to get the sounds they want.
High quality steel guitar pickups are sold by many people, so having a budget in mind will be helpful.
In terms of what genres are played by the inmates of this forum, I'd do a search - we have multiple previous polls with this same information. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel
