Any one know who played pedal steel for the Wild Honey Orchestra's Buffalo Springfield Tribute? Pretty darn good take on Rusty Young's immortal steel part...

Great work Dave! So tasteful, and true to the original emotion and heart of Richie’s classic tune.

Thanks Russ. Your avitar is great..... my wife and I are going to see Richie’s 50th POCO anniversary DeLiverin’ show next weekend. I understand that his guitar player Scott Selen is playing pedal steel as well on this tour. Should be great, Saw the Springfield in 1967 at Tahoe.... fantastic!

Besides his great musicianship, and other talents, Dave is a brilliant guy who also makes world class microphones.

Seconding what Mike B.says: "Great work Dave! So tasteful, and true to the original emotion and heart of Richie’s classic tune". THAT'S RIGHT!.
Dave's steel playing is fantastic! He really captures all of Rusty's bag on this tune, especially the, what I call, the "staggered" part just before Richie sings "Kind woman".

Thank you all so much!! I guess Richie liked it, too. I'm doing two West Coast dates with The Richie Furay Band to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Poco at The Troubadour. We're doing the entire, "Deliverin'" album (I'm having to learn more Rusty Young licks). Buck Owen's Crystal Palace on the 13th, and then The Troubadour on the 16th.

That is so cool. Doing all that hard work to learn the material/steel parts and playing them with THE GUY.
Plus memories when you were young and listened to the record (guessing).

I went through two albums of DeLIVErn' Loved it and the guitar and steel parts are burned into my memory. Dave Pearlman is certainly up to the task for this. I have a cassette I recorded off the radio when he played for Dan Fogelberg and Fools Gold live back in the 70's and he was a great player then as well.
