Hi all, I'd love to hear feedback from those of us that have pondered the possibilities of changing out fretboards for the lit up kind! Yeah, like we don't have enough steel work to do already!
One day, lit fretboards could somehow guide you what position to go to, etc. Many possibilities!
Are there steel think-tanks already keeping this idea under wraps? Yuk yuk

Gary,
Check with Mitchell at MSA in Dallas. They make the L-frets which can be taylored to fit a steel other than a MSA.

I LOVE the L-frets on my MSA. It makes playing on those dark stages much better.
Here's a shot of my guitar.

Dick that is one neat Fret Board on that MSA.
Lighted fret boards are way behind time.
When I built my steel in about 1968 I thought a lot about cutting out under the plexiglass fret board and installing lights, that would shine up through the fret board. At that time there was no small lights and power source available. I have been looking at LED lights and new batteries available and rethinking that project all over. MY present steel a Black GFI has a black fret board with silver frets. It is going to get a white fret board or a lighted one soon. |
