I remember buying that album in a record store. I fell in love with the pedal steel through this album along with the black album. The pedal steel is something else!

Anyone know who the lead guitar player was or where the Paradise was located?

Thanks Paul. I didn't recognize Hector he fronted a couple of great bands in Knoxville at one time. One of his country efforts were the Lonesome Coyotes a fine country band. The Hector Quirko band was also one of my favorites. He later moved to Charleston or so I was told. I guess I need a new pair of glasses.

Saw Doug playing the black Super Pro twice. Always thought next to his push pull, it was my favorite tone od all the guitars I've heard him play

I believe he was offering that one for sale at the Dallas show a few years back. He mentioned using it on a lot of dates. I wasn’t in the market for a super pro , but it was cool to be approached about it. He seemed eager to let it go at the time.

Ran across this post from a year ago and had to comment on it one more time.
Doug is so soulful. I still put duct tape around my head when I listen to "Roadside Rag" and "black album" to keep my head from exploding!
