Anyone care to guess what this might be worth? Thinking about selling but not sure what to expect, probably not the crazy prices you see on eBay.
I'm the original owner, pots have been treated with DeoxIT Fader Lube, everything works.
Sounds just like it did in the sixties!

didn't see one on Reverb for less than $550 shipped, one is up for nearly $800 in that same style. Thats what they're asking... not sure if they're selling. All say listed 6 months oddly enough. Real neat piece of ole gear |

Just got the new Vintage Price Guide 2 days ago.
"book" price is $550-750 in excellent condition.
As far as Reverb.com prices, asking prices are completely worthless when trying to get "value". I could "ask" $7,000 for my original Klon Centaur - but it doesn't mean anyone would BUY it for that.
Check on eBay for "sold item" prices. They're VERY difficult to find on Reverb.
At vintage shows they are generally selling for $500 and up in similar condition as long as it's 100% original. I wouldn't take less than that. A dealer won't pay that much because they have to re-sell it at a profit. Right now is probably not the best time to sell it - there are bunch of them on Reverb - unless you have the original box. THAT really kicks up the interest. _________________ No chops, but great tone

is there a serial number on the back plate? can you post a pic of the circuit board?
there's several; variations, earlier ones usually being worth more.
$500 is a good starting point. maybe more if the serial number is under 2000 |

Here are pictures of bottom plate showing 5277, and the circuit board.
It's all original except for new rubber feet and one of the screws holding the battery bracket.

I will gladly let it go for the money you guys are suggesting. Will probably list it on flea-bay, unless someone here loves it that much.
Thanks for all the help! |

Dass a big twinkie.
That was British (though made in Italy) counterpart of Gibson's Maestro Fuzz Tone.
Put it up for bid on the bay.
I had one as well. _________________ ShoBud The Pro 1

Give a listen to Rolling Stones "Satisfaction". That's what it sounds like, to my ear anyway. |

I have a friend that also has a real old one.
The cosmetics on his are slightly different than the one in the picture.
We checked the bottom plate yesterday for a serial number.
If it is engraved, there isn't one.
If it was inked on, it is long gone. |
