Hello friends, I'm selling this guitar for my elderly cousin. It is the second prototype built by Bobby Seymour. It has 8 pedals, 5 knee levers, gold tuning knobs, original case, volume pedal, picks and bar. He is the original owner and bought this guitar from Bobby Seymour in the late 1990's. It hasn't been used much and is too much to carry around at this point in his life. Asking price is $2300 + shipping. If interested contact me at sacredstrings@yahoo.com or call 419-304-3088

I didn't know Bobby made pedal steels...looks terrific ! |
From what he (Bobby) told me, the "S" in the first MSA's was Seymore. Maybe this was his venture after parting with MSA. _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers

Any idea if Bobbe Seymour actually built this steel, or was he working with a builder and used his last name as a “draw?†_________________ Mark |

It looks like Sho~Bud under the hood.
He bought a whole warehouse of Sho~Bud parts at one time when they were in the process of moving.

Hey y’all, I’m not an expert but I’m pretty sure this is %100 legit, I have seen some of the Steels that Bobby has built and this is what I believe to be an early model, I think I’ve even seen this getting worked on in his shop, the other one I’ve seen looks just like this except it’s a keyless model.
The only thing that needs to be said is that Bobby made some Steels that were so good they were almost otherworldly, I spent many a late night having Bobby work on my Sho-Bud, and miss him dearly, don’t know the seller at all but this is a special instrument and I envy the person who ends up with it. |

I was always under the impression that the letters in MSA stood for Morrell Shields Anderson. |

I'm not sure how many of them were built under the name Seymour but a friend of mine, Jimmy McManus had a lefty SD10 that Bobbby custom made for him. He's played it for years, partly because there's not a whole of left had inventory available but also because he told me he gets good tones out of it. Just throwing this in the loop to acknowledge that Bobby S. did in fact build quality steel guitars. _________________ Emmons |
