Fender 400 in Aus

Gâ€™day all

Trying to get into pedal steel but Theyâ€™re hard to find down here in Aus. Iâ€™m a guitarist looking at getting into it. Iâ€™ve found is this Fender 400. Which looks in great condition but doesnâ€™t come apart This would make it a pain with all my other gear. Itâ€™s also an 8 string which might make it challenging to learn on , Iâ€™d only get some of the E9 tuning.
How does it look to you experts?
