You can certainly try it, but the reverb won't sound good if the impedance match is too far off. There are several different tank transducers made, each with an impedance that matches the reverb circuitry in certain amps. If you could post the part numbers from each tank, then we could tell you if they match, impedance-wise. |

Donnie,
The Sho~Bud Tank is ( Folded Line)Type 56
made by O.C. Electronics Inc.in Milton Wis.
The Peavey is from a NV-400 It has a lot of numbers on it
9EB2C1B , 710 11130 , 40 240 98,
Does this help?

Well, the outputs of those two tanks are close, but the inputs are not. You can try the swap to see what it sounds like, but I'm doubtful that it will sound like what you're wanting. |

Well I guess what I want to know will it damage the Amp?
Or will the Reverb tank from the NV-400 be damaged?
Ken Fox went thru the Amp a few yrs. ago and did a great job on the restoration of the old Sho~Bud Christmas Tree Amp.
Thanks for your help

I put the NV-400 reverb tank in the Sho~Bud Christmas Tree Amp today.
It does have a little more depth in the reverb, but not as much as the NV-1000 or Session-500.
Thank everyone for your replies.[ Donnie Hinson & Ken Fox ]
