If anyone is thinking, What's with that green stamped number on the end of the neck?, That is totally legit. RP _________________ Emmons SKH Le Grande, '73 Fender P/J bass, Tick tack bass, Regal high strung, USA Nashville 112. |

Not questioning the authenticity of the guitar, but it looks like the neck is laminated (unless it’s a reflection in the photograph).
I‘ve never seen that on a Fender before, tho’ I have seen maple necks with a laminated maple fingerboard. |

Hi Tony,
I have still have a 1965 Telecaster with laminated maple board on maple neck, like the one you had.
This is my first time seeing a Fender neck that is all laminates, tho' I don't regard myself as an expert.
I think Framus may have done them at some point. |

I think the ser. # photo is showing some "router scrub" from the neck pocket, making marks into the finish, not laminates of slab wood. Slight wiggle movements over years of use is all. 😎
Most every maple neck from this era produced was maple capped ( unless a special full blank type was specified) I had a 67 ..for a short while, same colors, features.. stolen from a closet by a "visitor" to my brothers house while both of us were away. |
