I have a booth at the 2018 Fort Worth guitar show being held now. This afternoon I was walking down an aisle for maybe the 15th time and there it was. A black Franklin D10, 9+9, in excellent condition. Serial number less than 20. Powerless to do otherwise, I negotiated a price that worked for me and the dealer and that was that.

I’ll try and post a few pics when I get home early next week. Long drive from Texas to Indiana.
As for price, it’s been my experience that pedal steels fo not sell well at guitar shows. There just aren’t that many players that attend, let alone are wanting to buy. The other dealer knew this and was happy to negotiate a good price. |

| Congratulations on scoring the Franklin, Eric! I'm curious, how was the attendance of buyers and sellers for six string guitars in general this year? I've heard that the Texas show isn't like it used to be as far as high volume traffic. |

David,
Buying and selling among dealers was brisk, especially on Thursday afternoon and all-day Friday. There was, to me, quite a drop in attendance on Saturday & Sunday, the days the show was open to the public. Some blamed that on the change in venue. In prior years it was held in nearby Arlington. I think $10 for parking and a $20 entrance fee didn’t exactly entice people to come. |
