not sure where to post this. Attended 86 convention with my brother.When Buddy's set ended , he tossed his derby right into my brothers lap! Was wondering if any one might have pics ? Joe

I was there but do not remember that one. I bet he hung onto that derby forever.

I have seen him do this at least one other time at the ISGC. The year he played the Derby Steel guitar, he tossed his derby hat out to the audience. This was earlier in the show and not at the end though.

This was probably the late 90's? I'd have to do some thinking and looking.

Some of Bill Ferguson's ISGC videos might have some footage of this if you feel like watching the full shows that Bill posts.

...just reading the subject headline I thought he'd gone berserk, throwing a Derby pedal steel at the audience... Shocked

Thanks guys for all the help. come to think of it, after it was mentioned,I'm not sure of when he tossed it. end of set or end of song.Anyhow Bills vids are a great place to start! The only reason I know it was 86,he took it to Peggy,and she got Buddy to autograph it,and he dated it.
