I just received a Google Alert about a new album by Santo & Johnny called "Fallen". An internet search turns up very little. Anyone know much about it?

Looks like it was released by the "Cappo" label on September 24th. Seems like it has about 22 songs. By the song titles, I am guessing, that it is a re-release of older material; however, I am not sure. Not much on it yet.

I believe that this is the information that you were talking about.

Hah. 26 tracks of "Greatest Hits" and not one of them is entitled, "Sleepwalk". How does that work...?

Tommy, you may be on to something... It sure is strange that Santo and Johnny had 8, count 'em, 8 album releases in 2018. Here is the link:

https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/interpreter/santo-johnny/download-streaming-albums?s=rdc#results

If I am interpreting this correctly, it does seem like a lot of "re-releases."

NOT new albums or CDs, just digital downloads that are mostly complied from the "Hawaii" and "Around The World" vinyl LPs on the Canadian-American label. The "covers" for these things have nothing to do with any original LPs, titles, or even any mention of S&J. Just stock royalty-free copyright-free digital images. Most of these "discs" simply have the tracks from the two LPs mentioned above, tracks are shuffled around but many are the same from "disc" to "disc". Looks like a UK scam outfit that sells things that they have no rights for and don't pay or grossly underpay royalties. Otherwise why all the "titles" that have no relevance? Again, all you can buy here are digital downloads of tunes that are available as legal, correctly titled downloads elsewhere. The original LPs are not hard to get, and there are plenty of actual CDs out there. Wouldn't you rather have a "tangible item" for your money? Maybe ask Santo and / or Johnny if they ever got a check from these people. Or ask The Harry Fox Agency if any writer's royalty payments have ever been received from this outfit? Nothing to get excited about, just another internet hustle.

I think you mean "Harry Fox". You're probably just confusing him with "Charles Chips", which are quite tasty... Wink

As I recall, Santo died some years ago. I was in St Louis when Johnny Farina played.
