Looking for a long scale Fender 1000 D8 with 8 stamped, chrome pedals in good, working condition. Wide, flat pickup. It also needs to have the upgraded roller nut and bridge. These are usually blond although a few transitional sunburst finish guitars exist. Please email with info. |

Still looking. May also consider a long scale 400. Thanks |

Just for the sake of information...
From the pictures, it looks like 4 pedals aren't hooked up, but it looks like there's only 2 cables in the dangle at the end of the guitar? To its credit, that's a very early guitar, and it has the original pickups, bridge covers, and knobs. (It's rare to find all of those there.) The finish is good, too, except for the burn marks all over the bottom. But, be aware it's going to need work and parts to make it fully functional. Experienced players can cobble up what's needed, but to the inexperienced, finding and buying any original parts can be expensive and frustrating. |

I noticed the cables hanging as well but it looks like some of them may be in the pulley block out of the picture and I counted at least 13 of the small pulleys on the cables which is more than I will need. It may not matter anyway as I sent them 2 emails and they have yet to reply. There is no price listed and they had a "World Famous" guitar shop check it out which tells me $$$$. |

I remember seeing that craigslist post when it first came out and it had a price....all I remember is that it was way over priced. This has been listed for awhile now.... _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Harry, I suspect that guitar has one or two pedals with modified (daisy-chained) cables. Some players would take a pulley or two from other pedals and add it to the cable of one pedal, so that they could pull 3 or 4 strings with the same pedal. I suspect that's what's happened with this one, since the cables are so screwed up. Anyhow, you said you were looking for a guitar with the roller nut and cam/roller bridge, so this one wouldn't fit that requirement anyway.
These guitars have stubbornly maintained their value (usually, around $1000) for the past 15-20 years, even though very few people play or collect them. |

Thanks for the info Donny. It does look like some of those cables have 3 pulleys on them so they can pull up to 4 strings at once. This is the exact model I am looking for (long scale). I have seen many with the roller nut and roller bridge add-on. I have also seen a few sunburst transition models with the long scale, chrome pedals and the roller nut and roller bridge assembly.
Still no reply from the seller so I guess they just want to show it off. |

They have it listed on ebay with a $2,762.95 buy-it-now down from $3,069.95. What a deal! only $200.00 shipping. They will accept offers although they would likely laugh if I offered them a fair market price. |
