The Lap Steel Guitar, Norman Zocher

Berklee College of Music faculty member Norman Zocher is joined by MFA curator Darcy Kuronen to talk about the history, design, and music of the lap steel guitar, from the 1930s through the early ‘50s. Included will be live demonstrations by Zocher on the Museum’s Dobro Hawaiian model, Rickenbacker BD, National Dynamic, and Gibson Ultratone instruments.
