Great player and good ole boy. I have a friend that played at a party with him yesterday. I’ll see if I can get him to update you. I don’t know if they had much time to visit.

Howdy Paul- As Danny mentioned I had the opportunity to catch up with Gary on Sunday at our friend, Jimmy Fincher’s 14th Annual Hootenanny. We had great time! Due to lack of stage place, we traded out on steel. As usual, Gary played fantastic! He is still playing some around Ft Worth and has a steady gig with Tommy Hooker at The Grove on Thursday nights in Granbury Tx. I think assists Curtis Hogue occasionally on the D10 Rains guitars? He is very busy in the real estate business. I guess Gary was one of first players that I met, probably 40 years ago! Hard to believe. He has helped me immensely along the way and so has Danny Letz! Thanks for the MSA that I purchased from you. I sure enjoyed it. Take care. RP

Paul, Randall is being gracious as usual. On a scale of 1 to 10 where those guys are 10, I’m about a 0.5, but being a farmer & oil pumper of German heritage, I do savy the mechanics a little. I have been able to help Randall with a few guitars & Gary with a few Rains out in my area. There ain’t a way in the world I can help either one of them with playing.

I'm agreeing with JR as Gary helped me a couple of time (clearing throat" with my Carter that I bought right before Carter closed. A very nice guy whom I had never met bt saw him at the Dallas show playing. His shop was pretty kewl as he collected Old License Tags and had them displayed in his shop. I came across a few and took them to the next show but no Gary that year. Gary is a Great guy and player had my Carter just a smokin.
