Up for sale is a 1960's National New Yorker in Mint condition double pickup that has killer vintage tone.
Someone can really enjoy this beautiful lap steel. The tolex on the case is separating but the interior is super clean.
The beauty of this lap steel comes from the design and the double pickup that is like pickup on steroids plus its in mint condition.
850 dollars plus 25 shipping.

I've never seen that knob before. Looks like it came off a stove or a safe! Didn't this originally have a bridge/pick-up cover?

Yes, the pickup cover is there in the first picture. The seller took it off to show the unusual dual pickups. My '60? National D8 console had similar ones and they did sound great. I believe the knob at the base must be a blend knob. Mine had 3-position selectors in that location and I was tempted to replace them with a blend knob similar to a Stringmaster. Looks like National decided to do that as well!
