Live at a Shaker barn - Pablo Casals, folk music

Here are two videos from a performance with the folk duo Anna & Elizabeth in an old (stone and two-story - the cows were upstairs) at the Hancock (MA) Shaker Village.

The first video is the song "Black Eyed Susan" (with a steel solo in the middle).

And the second is a medley of Pablo Casals' famous encore tune, "Song of the Birds" (dedicated to refugees everywhere - Casals never returned to Spain after Franco's fascists seized power) which features cellist Paul Wiancko; the traditional song "Pretty Bird" features the vocals of Elizabeth LaPrelle and percussive dance by Sandy Silva. I should add that the avian residents of the barn were actively singing and commenting the whole time.

I am quite fond of Anna & Elizabeth's approach to old folk tunes and I hope you enjoy their music too.
