I used a kit from them for EV speaker and it was very easy to do Came out perfect. Another friend did a JBL and it came out perfect. Love their kits as it is all pre-assembled and easy to install

I have reconed some JBL speakers using the kits from Sound Speaker Repair and have had excellent results.
They are about the only ones where you can get the cones that are copies of the original JBL cones.

If you don't want a DIY kit you might try "Flip Top . net" They did a couple of Oxford (Fender) 12" from a 65 Pro Reverb for me and did a superb Job.

If you didn't want to do it yourself you could try Tone Tubby. They do certain JBL models and they are a go-to for rock stars who send them their speakers to be reconed.

Ask them some questions they will give you answers.

I have a JBL E130 they reconed (and they provided the entire speaker frame though) I use in a rental Leslie speaker to handle the extra power. They did a great job on a classic speaker.

'nuther option: I've no personal experience with this company, but I understand the head recone dude from the former Orange County Speaker took up where they left off and began a reconing operation in Garden Grove Ca.
Might check them out here: http://www.speakerrepairpros.com/

I just had a D-130F sent off to Freeman Tuell in Dallas. I’ve had them recone several speakers thru the yrs., and never had any problems.

Slice Speaker Services in Kansas City, Missouri does good work.
