what he said. I'm so happy with my Sierra. so happy in fact that I now have two virtually identical to each other.
this one's a beauty too. shades of The Blade:

not sure why used Sierras don't seem to fetch as high a price as other brands. they're top notch and dependable as they come. _________________ 1965 Emmons S-10, 3x5 • Emmons LLIII D-10, 10x12 • JCH D-10, 10x12 • Beard MA-8 • Oahu Tonemaster |

Thanks everyone for the responses. Really appreciate it!
Fyi, I pulled the trigger on a used GFI Ultra II in mint condition along with a Peavey Nashville 112 Amp and Goodrich Volume pedal. All for $3k, so a bit over my budget but I'd gotten so used to the Ultra I've been fortunate to borrow, that I felt i should stick with it if possible. I knew that I'd probably be more satisfied in the long run.
So, look for me on the techniques and practice posts. Looking forward to the next few years with this black beauty.
Best,
E |

Well done. GFIs are a great value, and the folks at GFI will do you right.
In the long run, I think youll be glad you didn’t get the student model. Spend a bit more and got an axe you won’t need to upgrade.
GFIs are great guitars. Enjoy the ride. |

Look at the GFI Expo. It will be closer to your price and better than the student (new) |
Yes. Per GFI's site, the main difference from the Expo to the Ultra is the finish of the guitar. Plus some options are only available on the Ultra.
You can do better than the factory price at the authorized dealers. |
