I need a tone pot for a 60's Fender volume/tone pedal.

I'm totally lost in the potentiometer jungle. Can anyone recommend a good replacement and where I can get it?

Thanks,
Nicke

They were the Allen Bradley J type pot.

Originally this pedal had 250 ohm pots but 500 ohms are found to have a better response for modern steel guitar pickups if using with steel in these volume pedals. Some use 1 MEG (1000 ohm) LINEAR taper for this pedal to get a "wah" effect for the tone section.

The Allen Bradleys are not made anymore.

I guess you can use what you like and can buy several (250,500,1000) to try them out as to what suits your setup.

I read that Todd Clinesmith may have what you need or can give you further info :

Send Todd an email and find out.

Or Ken Fox on this forum has some knowledge on this pedal.

As far as a tone cap not sure on the value but it might be 0.047mfd or use a 0.02mfd if using the 1meg linear pot.

Here's something found on this forum.

And they mount like this:

Good luck.
