I have watched all those videos from that day many times. People can see why I watched Junior Knight every Saturday on television. I would later learn Gary Hogue and Gary Carpentar were on the same show. Junior was a huge influence on me wanting to play steel guitar. You guys were awesome.

Who in the world is standing there blocking some of Hogue’s magnificent picking?🤨

David, That was Charlie Norris who passed a couple years ago. This was recorded at his music store. Charlie was the President and founder of the Texas Steel Guitar Association and a great guy.

Wow, that was great!!! I was wondering, Junior, are you blocking with your picks or the edge of your hand? Thanks.

Great speed playing. I hope someday I can play at least half that speed. And that Tele player is smoking also on his speed licks (Ronnie Ray?).
