A couple of months ago I took a lesson from both Buck Reid and Doug Jernigan in Nashville. I want to improve my single string work and my right hand. This is a solo of All The Things that Doug tabbed. I am working on using Buck's cross over thumb/middle finger picking techniques. Several clams but it is progress. I am traveling tonight for work (and therefore not practicing ) so I had some time to upload this to YouTube. Apologies for annoying those who saw this on Facebook.
From two, two hour lessons with two of the greats I think I have a couple of years of material to work on. If you can, I highly recommend you spend some time with them. They do Skype too!

Thanks guys. I have been playing steel over 40 years and never worked so hard on anything. I spent two months practicing most nights an hour or two. It's still got a ways to go. _________________ Bill Cunningham

Sounds great. I have this tune on Doug's Uptown to Country old LP from the 80's, I think.
I didn't have any tab, but I learned it off this LP with a little help from Boogie S. and a lot of work and practice...and it was worth it. Only thing is, finding someone else that knows it to play with. |
