Our group met Sunday, 8/05 at the All Around Cowboy Church, just north of Sealy, TX. We had 5 5teel players, drums, bass, and lead guitar. On steel was, Doug Elverud, on a Sierra D-10, and vocals, Jim Saunders, Mullen G2, D-10, Ron Toth on a Infinity D-10, David Hubenak, on a Mullen RP, D-10, and Billy Phelps on a Mullen G2, D-10 and vocals. On lead guitar and bass was Sonny Rice, and drums was Bobby Keith. Doug's granddaughter, Layla Elverud, did several gospel vocals and played her rhythm guitar.
This church is a great facility for what we do, although it can be daunting to find it the first visit. It's about 3 miles north of Sealy, out in the country.
The next meetin is under discussion, since it falls on the Labor Day weekend. Watch for for an anouncement. |
