Like so many steel players, I always loved Lloyd Green’s solo on Alan Jackson’s “Remember When,” so as I put an arrangement together, I thought of the pedal steel.  An instrumental lacks the “words,” so I decided to abridge the tune but keep the song’s three keys.  To add some different sounds, I got out my old Dobro, actually my first slide guitar from the 1970s. My friend, recording engineer John Hensch, sent me a great MXL microphone, and I blended the mic’s signal with the Dobro's old pickup (very high end) and panned them a bit, adding a touch of reverb to the mix.  I like the 2018 Band in a Box’s instrument samples and used them to create the backing track.
Hope you enjoy the arrangement.

Chuck, a gorgeous piece to these tired old ears. Kinda like a cool breeze on a hot summer day. I love it. Cool

Sounds really lovely, Chuck. Thanks for sharing that.

Is the acoustic guitar part all generated by BIAB or was that played live? It sounds excellent. Smile

Hi guys. As always, thanks for listening. Jim, the acoustic guitars are BIAB samples, and of course, some sound more natural than others. Overall, it is a great program, and I'm having fun learning it.
