I tuned in to the Chris Scruggs Friends and Neighbors show following the Friday Night Opry last evening. I really enjoy this show as it presents real country music instead of the modern stuff they try to push off as "Country". I was surprised to hear Chris playing what sounded like early pedal steel like Bud Isaacs played in the 50's. As always, it sounded great. I had never heard him play anything but non-pedal beore. I wonder what guitar and copedent he used. Hopefully Chris will see this post and answer these questions. |

Interesting to know. Has he used them in performance or recorded with them? I'd like to hear that. |

Thank you for the link, Russ.
How wonderful to hear these guys together.
Chris sounds super on the pedal steel. Is it a Sho-Bud, a Sho-Pro, something else? |

He was playing a Sho-Bud on the "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" 50th Anniversary performance the other night. I couldn't quite make out the model name on the apron but it looked more like Pro-(something) than "The Professional" or "LDG". _________________ "Gopher, Everett?" |
