1957 Fender Stringmaster Deluxe 8-String, NM w/ OHSC & Original Fender Box - now includes Legs

Blonde Swamp Ash with miscellaneous minor nicks & blemishes (see pics).
Date under tuner pan indicates May 1957.
22 1/2” scale.
Very nice all original guitar and clean tweed case with working latches (and original key).
All electronics work.
Clean chrome.

REVISED:
As this guitar was originally ordered without the optional legs in 1957,
I’ve now included a set of very nice, high quality stainless steel telescoping legs made by forumite
Don Burrows (pics added below.)

Currently tuned to C6th with chromatic D 1st string.

This guitar has been in my family since it was new – I acquired the guitar in 1980 from the original
owner, a family member, who took lessons for a short time in the late 1950’s as a young boy
but did not play for very long (his Steven’s bar is still in the case). I’ve owned the guitar for
38 years now and I’ve seldom opened the case. It’s never been gigged – I haven’t played it
much in the years I’ve owned it . . . less than 3 hours if that long.

Uniquely included also is the original Fender box that the guitar came in. Although the 61 year old
box is tattered and non-functional, it remains a part of the history of the guitar – and
could possibly be matted and framed for display and preservation purposes. “Fender Musical
Instruments”, “Steel Guitar” “Fullerton, California” are shown on both sides of the box.

$1750 (firm) plus 1/2 of shipping costs.
PayPal only – buyer pays any associated PayPal fees.
No trades.
Lower 48 states only . . . no international sales.
Written replies to any inquiries will be made in the order received.

The original box is really neat. First one I've seen. Best of luck with the sale.

This is a super guitar. My main steel is a '57 Stringmaster T8, which is a dream machine (except it's not fun to pack up and pop over to a friend's with).

This is just one-third of that wonderful guitar.

It's FAR superior in to the Champs and the Studio Deluxes of the 50's-70s, which were student models, and whose pick-ups sound weak in comparison to the Deluxe's dual pick-up construction with the blend wheel under the bridge cover which allows for easy sonic adjustments.

Whoever ends up with it's a lucky guy!
