Looking for a Stringmaster style single neck 8-string. Also interested in Champs.
Will absolutely consider other makes, like RIckenbacker.7 and 8 strings. Thanks!

Thanks: I checked it out but it's $2,000 and is not in very good shape. The plates are pitted, the pot was replaced, the case doesn't have a handle, etc., etc.

Did you see this one Mark?

It's not listed as a 7-string and I'm thinking it could be a conversion. The pickup doesn't look wide enough and I'm not sure that's a Gibson bridge. The close up of the headstock looks like it could have had some holes filled a long time ago - it's hard to tell. Pretty sure it's an EH-100 and not a 150 but I'm decidedly NOT an expert. I'd be interested in what others think.

I really don't see anything wrong with the headstock but the neck looks a little crowded for 7 strings.

Yup,Erv. There's no doubt in my mind that the neck width (and nut) is the same as the 6-string. The Rickenbacker bakelite 7-strings are the same nut width as the 6-strings. Checked last night.
