My first programming job was writing device drivers for scanners and printers. I often used this magazine cover as my test image. Great picture of Tom Brumley!

So I play steel, and I never have women at my feet unless they're drunk and knock my steel over. So I'm wondering... what is this guy's secret? What notes does he play? Then it hits me... The girl on the right is only there because the buckle of her boot is caught in his strings. That's why his strings appear to be out of whack with the fretboard, probably. And even though my astute logic skills were able to piece this all together, the girl on the left is still a mystery to me. Maybe I need to practice longer. Or sleep longer. Or think more.

Whoa!

I'm still trying. Marcel and Ruffo have 'sweet chords' and 'magical chords', and my time on Cecil Johnson was 22:50.
But Marcel--and having studied compliments here--I can't say enough about his playing. But the women (talking quietly) he's just got one name, he must be famous.
Both one-named steelers: 15:21 and 15:34
So there you go. You can pick up chicks or drop a name and wait for them to pick you up.

So I think I'll ask b0b if he'll change my name to just Charlie. And I'll be known as Just Charlie, and I won't have to polish my steel skills, just get better with the volume pedal.

Well, I guess that's easier to say than "Equal Tempered Charlie"...

Laughing But I wouldn't want to lie. I was hoping for Charlie the Just.
No, wait, Equal Temperament for Charlie the Just--no, skip that last--I am the standard, whether you like it or not.

and I shall have a thread of my own, and all these threads will weave into the emperor's new cloths--Is that too long?

My wife's got some one-word names for me. I never realized these were symbolic of her love and adoration for me until I studied this thread. I never liked "Bucko" or "Einstein" until just now.
