I just received my Ezzee-slide bar from Basil Henrick. I have been using a zirconium bar that didn't really fit my hand well, but I love the smoothness and tone. The Ezzee-slide comes in various sizes and is every bit the equal of the zirc bar, tone-wise. It is made of a similar "medical grade" polymer.

I have switched. This is now my main bar for most kinds of music. It has long sustain, great tone, moves smoothly on the strings, and fits my hand. What more could you ask for. Mr. Green

Here's how to get one:

Bob, what size and weight did you get? I have a zirc bar and love it. I believe its one inch by 3.5. Need another one. Glad Basil has continued to make a good bar.

I’m a fan for life - the only bar that fills the hole my Tribo-tone left in my heart

I went the whole hog and got myself a 1" 12 string bar (even though I play a 10 string Ben-Rom) - fantastic!

I concur. I’ve had mine for a while now and it gets about the same play time as my steel bar. I like the fact that it seems to stick to your hand but skates freely on the strings which is exactly the opposite of how the steel bar can feel at times. It seems very durable - not a scratch on mine.

Monstrous. I got a tapered bar a la the old Chase bars (or the repro's from Frank Ford) but BIG enough to matter. Lovely thing... Plastic with WEIGHT - yay! You can really HAUL A~~ with these things! We should not forget Bill Groner on this side of the pond, he's also doing to-order poly bars:

There is so much more lovely stuff than I can assimilate - we are truly living in a land of riches. At least as far as a WHOLE LOT of people who... woke up one morning, realized that they didn't become rock stars, yet averted tragedy by turning to tinkering with neato stuff!

How do these bars compare weight wise to regular ones? I bought a coated ceramic bar at a show which was so light it was hard to control.

not sure if this info is needed anymore but here's a comparison:

Ezzee-slide bar 15/16: 246 grams
BJS 15/16: 280 grams

But, as I understand it, each of Basil's bars are custom made, so he can put more weight into it if required by customer.
