I was asked to play Happy Birthday at my Granddaughter's 16th B-day party. I can tell you this, it sure is a lot easier playing at home, in my room, alone! Playing in front of 25 people (at least to me) was a bit unnerving to say the least. When done, they were kind enough to applaud....probably because I was finished. Whoa!

Lee, the cupcakes were better than they looked! I went to the Dollar Tree store in the morning to buy a leh to wear. When my son told me to get the amp and steel, I was so flustered I forgot to put the leh on, (not that it would have helped) I always wear a ball cap, but when in the Dollar store I spotted the hat and thought they would get a chuckle out of it. They did! After I bought it, I remembered one of my favorite movies.....

Thank you guys for the kind words of encouragement.
Very Happy

I have that exact same hat and it feels pretty good to wear when I’m shooting for a South Pacific vibe. Congrats on your first gig!

Great photo Bill! Speaking as a fellow "senior citizen", this could be the most important thing we do. Just demonstrate the pleasure that "self-made" music brings to life. "Real Fun" is when you get together with friends or family and make music. Passing that experience along to young folks is what it's all about. Get 'em hooked on the fun!

What a great photo Bill. There is no doubt that your granddaughter is from your line......you both look very similar at that camera angle! These events always make the playing worthwhile!
