Today we took a ride down to Southwest Missouri to GFI's shop / production facility. I've had the hots for a GFI Ultra Keyless, and he had one he hadn't shipped out yet, so I went down and sat down at it.
One thing led to another and I bought one.
GFI Ultra Keyless S-10 with pad. It's smaller than an SD-10 would be, but not a lot.
He's going to call the dealer that ordered the one I played today, and if they don't mind waiting I'll get that one in a few days, as soon as the case is done. If the dealer needs it now I'll get one in 8 or 10 weeks, I guess.
Pretty.
So now I can keep my Carter D-10 set up in the front room, my MCI ProAm Sidekick up at the band practice studio, and take the GFI out for public play.
Wife said, "You done?"
"Yup."

Jeff, you must be excited! You didn't waste any time assembling "a stable." Can't wait to see pictures and learn how it works for you on the bandstand.

I am excited. It's got a voice like an angel, and is superbly crafted.
I'll shoot some pics when it comes.

Congrats! When the wife asks if you’re done, you ARE done.

Given that she
Bought me the first one
Looked the other way while I bought the second one (cheap old beater)
and only
Asked after I bought the third, most expensive one of all...
Yes. Smile

You can tell the wife you are done, but never say to yourself that you are done. Laughing

Now you are gettin the hang of it,haha! Three is a good start. I have an older 22.5” scale keyless Ultra and like it a lot. Very good for travel and for tight bandstand setups. It sounds great. What I like especially about GFI is that although it is keyless, the knurled knobs let you reach up and tune the open strings without a tuning wrench.
