I recently bought a Bryan Adams built, 1970 D10 push/pull with 8 pedals and 7 knee levers. I've had it long enough to know it's a keeper. I'm looking for good push/pull mechanic within reasonable driving distance of north central Texas to change the E9 knee levers copedent, and make sure the guitar is properly adjusted. The pedals are fine as is. The C6 copedent is no big deal. This steel plays very well, and I want to maintain that. Of course if we can improve playability, that's great too. I have an open mind and am willing to listen to suggestions.

"Reasonable" driving distance is a relative term, depending upon the mechanic's location, and availability. I will not ship this steel, and am willing to travel the extra miles in order to have the job done right. I'm not asking for a freeebe. I'll pay a reasonable price depending on the work required. I prefer Forum email for initial contact. PM is ok too.

Ricky - I emailed Mr. Holden. Thanks for the suggestion.

I knew that about your wife, but forgot until your reply, above. You set up an LDG for me one time; great guitar, you did great work.

Thanks,

Rick Price is a good push/pull mechanic; but, he is in the hill country out west of San Antonio.

I think Ricky is correct about Steve Lamb. But if you could catch Gary Carpenter at the right time he could fix you up. J.R.

I've tried to contact C.E. Holden and Gary Carpenter; no replies from either. I haven't had any luck with contact information for Rick Price. I would gladly drive to the San Antonio area, even farther for quality work. Thanks for the suggestions.

Jim, I will strongly recommend Rick Price. When he was traveling with Jake Hooker I caught him playing in Abilene to take him my guitar & then caught him later in Snyder to get it back. Each of those were one hour drives for me & got to hear good music too. PM or Email me & I ‘ll give you contact info,

Jim - Shoot me a PM with your email address and telephone number. I'll contact Rick and see if he would want to do the work.

Rick Price is the man. I just had him change a couple lever positions and get rid of a bunch that it didn't need and it is the best playing push pull iv'e ever played. Also have another one at his shop getn right. I highly recommend Rick Price.
