Here is a little video from Scotty's 1991 Christmas Party that I thought you might like.

Enjoy

Very nice. Bobby was pretty remarkable too, wasn't he?

That's so good for a split second I thought the recording was overdubbed over the live video. Is it true all the guitar players in Nashville would pool their money every month to pay Bobby Caldwell's rent in St. Louis so he wouldn't move to Nashville? Is that a true story?

And once again - hats off to Mr. Ferguson for his generous contribution of these wonderful performances.

Thanks for posting this memory, Bill.

Scotty's Christmas Parties were always a treat.

Being able to watch Buddy musically push Bobby - and Vice Versa - was really something to be able to witness.

When they collectively 'pulled something off together,' with very little - or no rehearsal, you could tell how much they really enjoyed performing with each other.

Best regards Bill,
Ron

Not a true story! Laughing Bobby had a good job with St. Louis Music, a wholesale distribution company. And Linda had a good job as well.

Playing with Bobby was a total joy for a steel player. We were also roommates on some Johnny Bush gigs and he was as hilarious offstage as he was inspirational onstage. I'm also one of the few that got to see him without him wearing what he called his "personality." Wink

Gosh I miss Bobby. Buddy too. Sad

Thanks so much for posting this ! How could it get any better-2 of my favorite players on steel and guitar...Bobby also played good Chet or Travis style picking...I got one of his recordings one time from him back in the day...you think those days will last forever and they dont, but at least we have these wonderful videos to keep it alive, besides just in our hearts !! Thanks Bill !
