Here’s a transcription of Tom Brumley’s iconic steel work on the 1964 studio recording of “Together Again” by Buck Owens and the Buckaroos - as close as I could get it. Like “Johnny B. Goode” for the electric guitar, sooner or later you’ll have to deal with “Together Again” if you pursue pedal steel, and follow it back to its roots.

The B and C pedals are used here extensively to get some unusual harmonies. I lowered the pitch of the song a half-step to C because 1) it’s more familiar fretboard territory, and 2) if you play in a band, chances are the other musicians will prefer C to C# anyway.
