I've been playing for about 3 years now and someone asked finally me to put pedal steel on a track. I've put steel on my recordings but not other folks. A friend (Supe Granda) from the Ozark Mountain Daredevils wrote this song a number of years ago and sent me a rough mp3 mix of it. I'll post a final mix on this when I get and see if they kept any the Steel parts. I overplayed a bit with the idea that they could take out parts during the mix phase.
Anyways, feel free to critique and offer suggestions for my future endeavors.
p.s. In the photo which was taken probably 40 years ago, I'm playing the sunburst strat and I think that's Jerry Walker on steel when he was just starting.
Stage One direct into my RME interface with some cubase reverb and delay.

Really nice Joe! If I was the producer, I'd keep it all, mixed up front |

Very nice, creative and tasteful. Good volume pedal technique, too. If I stuck my head in the door to check you out, I'd stay. _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Harlow Dobro |

Nice shuffle tune. I like your playing. Maybe consider PSG being a little quieter in final mix during singer lines. |

Three years? Incredible playing for that relatively short amount of time. Nice song also! _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |
