This Franklin has never been tinkered with, all original parts. Pedals an plays wonderfully. A steel with casted aluminum neck, end plate, key head, the right cabinet thickness all the Right ingredients for sound. No steel I know of being built today has all the right recipe of parts to compare to Franklins An push pull Emmons.I should come too my senses an make this Franklin a keeper.

If you replace the mica don't use the plate and drill more screws in the mica. Paul Sr still has decals.
I have a similar Era Franklin D10 I'd sell but for nowhere that cheap as 7000 is a killer deal on a Franklin. Especially a 12 string universal.

It definitely wouldn't devalue it. Black trip is on all the rosewood ones and white trim on the black ones as well as the flat black and rosewood mica. Somewhere in the latter after 50 or so guitars (or maybe more ) they started wit the chrome inlay. Unlike a Emmons or maybe some of the early sho bud I don't think it would take away value , as these aren't looked at as vintage (older Franklins usually get a little less. As in closer to 8k rather than 10k ) but IMO and in Paul Sr's opinion they are all the same. But leaving that option to the buyer is the best idea I think.
