I had a cabinet covered with black carpet, that I stopped using about 12 years ago. I stuck it in the basement and soon after noticed green mold on it. I brushed the green stuff off and lightly washed the surface with a sponge. I then put it in a trash bag and forgot about it. I stumbled on it today and took it out of the bag... no mold. Does anyone know if the mold would be likely to return if the cabinet was put back in use? I realize that this is a somewhat weird question for a music forum, but you guys have never let me down. Thanks in advance for any info you may have.

Keep it out of a damp basement and you should be alright. Very Happy

The best thing to make sure the mold is gone is sunlight. Leave the cab outside in the sun
and brush the ozite.
