Just to confirm Erv’s point on heartfelt convictions, I just looked at my orange frame JBL, which is quite clearly marked 8 ohms. Someone with a little less grey matter loss should have bet me on that one, as I was very convinced. Mea culpa.

No indication of impedance preference on the amp.

OK here is the back of my Vibrosonic.
As you can see I have had one of the Speaker outputs converted to a Pre-Amp Tap (Line-Out). Sometimes I run it to a McIntosh 250 Solid State Amp, for a different Power Amp and Speaker Cab tonal variation.


Here is the Twin Reverb. It does not have a Pre-Amp Tap, but it does have: Reverb on both Channels, Master Volume removed from circuit, On/off knob to remove Tremelo circuit, and also Channel-1 has a Tone Stack Mod for Pedal Steel (ala Ken Fox as I recall). It has the original blue-label Rola 12" speakers that sound really good so I haven't replaced them.
