Mullen Steel Guitar Edit
My husband, John, died this year and as you can tell from my first ad, I have very little knowledge of the steel guitar. Thanks to a friend I have corrected my ad.
The steel was built by Dale Mullen, it has 11 strings on the E 9th neck and 10 strings on the C 6th neck. It has 8 pedals and 8 knee levers. It is dark brown. It was bought new and never left the house. It is in great shape.
Would consider any reasonable offer plus shipping.

Do my eyes deceive me or is that a D-12/10? Twelve strings on E9 and maybe ten on the back neck?
The photo is a little bit blurred. _________________ Roger Rettig - Emmons D10s, Quilter TT-12, B-bender Teles and old Martins.

It looks to me like it was Royal Blue...The aniline content in the dye
was insufficient, and over time the blue fades to a pretty nasty dark plum color like this..
If you take the necks off.. bet it’s blue as blue can be _________________ ARTIST RELATIONS: MSA GUITARS

Dang if that was once blue, it has definitely faded out....
I can tell it is for sure a D11, if there is any question on that though. _________________ 1981 Emmons P/P, P2P Bad Dawg 1x12, Benado Steel Dream, Goodrich L120 volume pedal & BJS bar |

D-11 for sure because both keyheads have 11 tuners and both changers have 11 fingers. _________________ Inlaid Star Guitar 2006 by Mark Giles. SD-10 4+5 in E9th; http://luthiersupply.com/instrument-gallery.html

I agree with Mike - I think it has a plastic laminate finish - you can see a metal trim strip along the edge of the front corner. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Did some digging. It was built for the owner John in 5/27/97. It is Mahogany mica and serial #2847. It is a D-11 Pre RP. Should be quite the guitar. |

Way cool. Never seen a D11 Mullen.
That extra string is real handy on the top of the C6th and good too to have a fat bottom note on the E9. |

The E9th neck should have 11 strings remember they took the lower G# away when they put the G#. Eb and F# on the three high strings...now you have it back again. This looks like a great Steel. |
