Back when I was teaching guitar making classes I had a student who wanted to build one.
That was 22 years ago so don't now remember where we got the outline but
we made the mould and his instrument came out very nice.
In fact I ran into him years later and he has since become a luthier specializing
in these, but I also don't remember his name.... My bad old memory!

Not a picture of the one we built, just taken off the web.

These are simple to make. If I were to do it now, and I've thought I might want
to, I'd make the mould with a split and hinge at the bottom center so it could
be widened at the peghead for 7 or 8 string versions.

I did these drawings a couple of years ago but have not done a thing since then.
I didn't do these to any particular design but my own idea of what I'd want.
Not sure there is a firm design that you have to stick to in order to get a good
sounding instrument? Any similar shape should work well....
If you can use the high resolution drawings send me an e-mail and I'll send them.
Best wishes,
Andy
