Prompted by this reply from Dave Hepworth in another thread, would like input from others concerning this unit particularly relating to clean tones with the pedal steel guitar: I've edited and clipped his original reply.

Hi Jerry,
....a Neve desk .
These desks are totally legendary in the tone they can get from ANY source of sound. They are so good that JHS has issued a rather nice pedal called a "colourbox" .It has the same EQ circuits and Baxandale transformer as the Neve. They are about $400 so not cheap but they are an amazing sound.

Regards Dave

Steve Fishell et al had some comments in this older thread addressing overdriven tones where Spencer had one for sale. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=2475707&sid=b4c933505b88110f77d80e2bf8e2c1ae and I've watched a few of the YT videos.

I'm interested in hearing more from Fish or anyone else who has some experience with these for clean pedal steel.
