How many steelers are going back to the basics just a amp and maybe a delay.
I played this last weekend and i did'nt feel like taking a lot with me so i just took my nashville 112 and a delay unit and to my suprise i liked it and i will not take a bunch of garb with me anymore.Of course i will have the Hilton pedal,Nashville 112,delay stomp box, dont need anything else.

My usual setup is just a Williams pot pedal and my little Boogie amp. Sometimes I hook up the Rotosphere in the effects loop for a little variety. Simple is good.

The other night I played to a crowd of about 600 people without an amp! I ran into a POD XT, and from that direct into the PA. I monitored the main mix with headphones (I was running the PA).

It was really interesting to play with no amps on stage. When I took off the headphones to play marimba, I realized that the stage volume was actually quieter than what I'd been listening to in the phones. Band happy, crowd happy, b0b happy!

Since this is about what electronic gear we carry, I'm moving it to the "Electronics" section of the Forum.
